As well as Southampton, The City Football Group, SC Heerenveen and several other German sides are also exploring the possibility of signing Kata.
Despite being only 21-years-old, he comes with a wealth of experience. Kata made his debut for MTK Budapest as a 16-year-old and has since made over 100 appearances for the club at first team level.
Der FC Southampton hat nach Informationen des Portals The Boot Room Interesse am ungarischen U21-Nationalspieler Mihály Kata bekundet. Zuvor hatte bereits Nemzeti Sport über einen Interessenten aus der englischen Championship berichtet. Kata machte bereits mit 16 Jahren sein Profidebüt für den MTK Budapest, absolvierte seitdem mehr als 120 Spiele für den Klub und ist mittlerweile Kapitän. Der ungarische Tabellensechste bestätigte nun auf Nachfrage, dass mehrere Vereine für Kata angefragt haben, es aber noch kein offizielles Angebot gibt. Neben Southampton soll es sich um Heerenveen und die City Group handeln.
